When was the last time you read the story of the woman at the well (John 4)? Christ knew she had been married several times and wasn't married to the one she was currently living with. He introduced her to the One that would give her living water and she immediately left her water pot at the well to go and tell others about the Messiah and how He knew all about her. That's what God wants you to do. Leave your water pot, be filled with Him and go tell others what He did for you. This is what we want to help you do, what He has led us to do, take His healing to the broken and hurting show them that they can be healed and useful. Just like the woman at the well, the people around you know what you've been though, what choices you have made, they will listen to you as the Samaritan people listened to the very woman they had considered an outcast. Just like His love transformed her inner beauty His love can change your countenance as well. Think about it...Christ was a Jew, she was a samaritan and a woman. According to scripture she was considered a nothing in the eyes of most men, yet Christ spoke to her, was kind, and treated her with respect. What we draw into our water pots from this passage is that God wants all to know His healing power. He truly wants to use you if you are willing to leave the past behind and move into the future with Him.
As you can see from the photo, I was considered an outcast by many. Yet Christ drew me away from the crowd and the drink I thought was refreshing and filling. He reminded me that what He had to offer was eternally quenching. I hope that you will take a moment and allow Him to speak to your heart. Let His love and grace flow over your heart like a refreshing and earth quenching rain.
