We are so excited to begin this new blog "Vertical Bound" and meet new people who may or may not agree with what we have to share on this issue.
A couple of years ago my wife and I were at a stop light and as I looked at the vehicle in front of us I saw the license plate SINGLE. The first word that jumped out at me was SIN and the second was SING. I wondered out loud if the person in the car lived a life of sin in their singleness or did their life sing praises to God in the way they chose to live. I think my wife thought I had lost it as she had not seen the plate at the same time I did. We began to talk about our lives as single agains. I lived a life of sin for many years while she strived to trust God and depend on Him to meet all her physical and financial needs, and to be a father to her daughters. She had never been on her own before and truly needed Him for everything. We also spoke of our lives before either of us had ever been married and how the needs were different for both of us. We would love to hear your thoughts on this.
How are your needs different as a single again than they were when you were a single adult prior to marriage?
